2.1 Information We Do NOT Collect

AlphaScreener is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect:

• Account credentials (no sign-up or login required)
• Device unique identifiers (UDID, IDFA)
• Location data
• Contacts, photos, or other personal files
• Financial or brokerage account information

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, the following non-personal information may be collected automatically:

• Usage Data: Market selections (Nasdaq, TWSE, A-Share), filter preferences, and feature usage patterns to improve the App experience.
• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and app version for compatibility and debugging purposes.
• Network Information: Network type (Wi-Fi or cellular) to optimize data loading.

2.3 Locally Stored Data

The following data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers:

• Watchlist: Stocks you save to your personal watchlist.
• Preferences: Your default market selection and app settings.
• Usage Counters: Free-tier daily usage counts (reset daily).

2.4 Subscription Information

If you subscribe to AlphaScreener Pro, your subscription is processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID. We only receive a purchase confirmation to unlock Pro features.

3. How We Use Your Information

The limited information we collect is used solely to:

• Provide and maintain the stock screening and signal services
• Improve the App's performance and user experience
• Diagnose technical issues and fix bugs
• Analyze aggregate usage patterns (not individual behavior)

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your information to third parties.

We may disclose information only in the following circumstances:

• Legal Compliance: When required by law, regulation, or legal process.
• Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.
• Business Transfer: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with prior notice to users.

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 Apple StoreKit

5.2 API Services

The App communicates with our backend API server to retrieve stock signals, screening results, and performance data. These API requests do not include personal identification information. All communications use HTTPS encryption.

6. Data Security

We implement the following security measures:

• Encryption in Transit: All network communications use HTTPS/TLS encryption.
• Local Storage Security: Sensitive data is stored using iOS secure storage mechanisms.
• Minimal Data Collection: We minimize the data we collect to reduce security risk.
• No Server-Side User Profiles: We do not maintain user accounts or profiles on our servers.

7. Data Retention

Since we do not collect personal data, there is minimal data to retain. Aggregate usage analytics are retained for up to 12 months and then deleted. Locally stored data on your device persists until you uninstall the App or manually clear it.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request information about what data we have associated with your use of the App.
• Deletion: Request deletion of any data we may have collected. You can also delete all local data by uninstalling the App.
• Opt-Out: You may stop using the App at any time.
• Data Portability: Since no personal accounts are maintained, this right is fulfilled by default through local device storage.

AlphaScreener is not intended for use by children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

Our API servers are located in Asia. If you access the App from outside this region, please be aware that data may be transmitted to and processed in this region. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the App or by other appropriate means. Your continued use of the App after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
